With many UK local authorities encouraging more household recycling we are always looking for simple, clean and tidy ways to organise our recycling. Having a pull-out waste bin in the kitchen that sits within a cupboard can make this easy by having dividing sections, it also saves your recycling waiting on your kitchen worktop! Maybe your bin isn’t quite set up how you want it at the moment? Let’s see if we can give you some options!
Pullboy Z pull-out waste bin recycling systems for 400mm, 450mm, 500mm and 600mm cabinets with 2 x 29L bins can be changed to have 1 x 29L and 1 x 17L to give a slightly smaller compartment.
These bins are: 827456-85E / 827462-85E / 827416-85E / 827506-85E / 827518-85E
If you don’t want both of you bin compartments to be as big as 29L, you can change them both to 17L’s, this may allow you to move your drawer that your bin system sits in lower in the cabinet, providing more space above where you could add one of the 5L Wesco Kitchen Box’s, this can be used for your compostable household waste, in effect providing 3 sections to your waste bin.
Perhaps you could look at re-purposing a larger cabinet in your kitchen? Is your bin currently in a 400mm or 500mm cabinet? If you have a larger 600mm cabinet in your kitchen elsewhere you could create a bins system here that suits your needs and gives you a lot more options.
You can also keep your existing 500mm deep Blum Antaro Tandembox drawer and make up a new wooden back to change the width of the drawer to suit the larger 600mm wide bin frame and cabinet. You would then only need to purchase the new frame and bins.
Perhaps you only have a 600mm cabinet available that is a drawer line cabinet that has a drawer above, not a problem! With the Pullboy Z waste bin systems that have 29L and 17L bins and smaller these are perfect; they still have great capacity, but they are shorter allowing for this situation. This means you can keep all your bin liners and cleaning accessories above in the drawer, making emptying, sorting and recycling ergonomic and quick.
