This guide explains how to identify the right Wesco replacement inner bin in just a few simple steps.

1. Look for a Part Number

The quickest way to identify a replacement is by checking the bottom of your existing inner bin. Many Wesco bins have a part number on the underside. It isn’t a set rule for all but a couple of our most popular sizes the 32L and 26L inner bin without handles do! 

Turn the bin upside down and look for codes similar to: 

32L: 7878110-1
26L: 7878111-1
10L: 7571003-1
20L: 7878003-1

If you find a part number, you can enter the code in to the search bar at the top of the Wesco UK website to find the genuine replacement.

2. Measure Your Existing Bin

If there isn't a visible part number or you don’t have the original bin, measuring your current bin or the frame is the next best option.

Record the following dimensions:

• Height
• Width
• Depth

Measure from the widest points and note the dimensions in millimetres for the most accurate comparison.

You can also measure the cut out area of the frame if you do not have the original inner bin, however you will not know the height or  potentially if this compartment splits in to two, that’s where Wesco’s customer services team may come in handy >>

3. Check the Handle Style

Wesco replacement bins are available with different handle styles. There are 3 main styles to help you narrow this down

• A steel metal handle
• Double Plastic handles
• Side cup handles / Without handles.

The handle style can help distinguish between other similar capacity bins.

4. Which Colour

Yes, your inner bin is probably grey, over the years Wesco have done different colours of grey to keep inline with changing kitchen trends. The most popular colours are:

• Alu Grey - Lighter grey
• Orion Grey - Darker Grey

5. Identify Your Wesco Waste System

If you know the model of your waste system, choosing the correct inner can become much easier, especially if it is still in the current collection. 

Common Wesco systems include:

• Pullboy Z / Pullboy Z Easy
• Double Master
• Big Bio Double
• Traditionline
• Profiline

You may find the model name on the frame, installation instructions, or original purchase confirmation. 

5. Compare the Dimensions

Once you have your measurements and handle style, compare them with the specifications of available replacement bins.

Pay attention to:

• Overall capacity (for example 15L, 20L, 32L or 38L)
• External dimensions
• Handle type
• Shape of the rim and base

Even bins with similar capacities can have different dimensions depending on the waste system they were designed for.
